Summary: No special handling for the documentation dirs

Initial Comment:
Somewhat hard-pressed to report this as a full-scale wrong-behavior bug, but that's what the tracker will have me do :)

Anyway, is there a reason why the docs subdirectories are handled with special make invocations in the installation hooks? I've had this patch in the FreeBSD port for a long time, just letting the build and install targets do the right thing automatically. Sorry for not submitting it earlier :) If it should get lost in the upload, it may always be found at
http://cvsweb.freebsd.org/ports/ftp/curl/files/patch-Makefile.in

And thanks for maintaining cURL!

Message:
Argh. Guess it just wasn't my day, was it. I should've removed the
pkgconfigdir change - of course it's FreeBSD-specific :)

As to the rest - yeah, I guessed that there was a reason, I just didn't
know what it was. But since you feel it would be better this way, this way
it stays, then :) Was the reason for the change the build time for the
PS/PDF documentation, or was it something else? Just curious now :)

Once again, apologies for the wasted time, and thanks for actually taking
the time to answer!

Message:
Let me instead reverse the question and ask why do you think it's worth
changing? We added it there once for a reason, so what problem does this
cause that you want to fix?

The pkgconfigdir change in the patch seems totally irrelevant, and will
break other systems so it cannot be made like that unconditionally.
