How to get ftp dir listing

I want to get the listing of files on an ftp server, but when I use the dir as the file like this:
curl 'ftp://ftp.hacktic.nl/pub/various/winsong'
I get an error.
curl 'ftp://ftp.hacktic.nl/pub/various/winsong/'
I also get an error.
How should I do this?
