As I've posted to the other curl lists, libcurl 7.7 will introduce persistant
connection support. This needs adjustments in the applications that use
libcurl for it to be used the best way. (Unmodified applications will
continue to work as before.)

It would be cool if someone took a look on the PHP module to make sure that
will be modified to take use of this improvement as well.
