Setting number of HTTP client connections

Hi!
Is it possible to set the number HTTP client connections for libcurl? I
know there's an option named CURLOPT_MAXCONNECTS, but judging from what
I've read in the man page for curl_easy_setopt(), it seems to be used for
FTP only.
