I found two remaining classes of problems: lots of warnings (or errors,
depending on the compiler) about pointer casts, and a change to the scoping
rules for enums declared within structs--the enums are no longer in the
global namespace. It looks pretty straightforward to fix these problems,
but barring a good reason, the fixes would just add unnecessary clutter
to the code.
