How to write the password into a file

Hi all;
Thank you Dan for your help. I have doubt regarding to password file. Is
curl supporting to write a password and user name in file and reading from
that file. Can I create a file? If yes so how I can create using curl api
and there I can write password and username. How we can use .netrc file.
