Summary: m4 files missing in CVS

Initial Comment:
The m4/curl-*.m4 files are missing in the CVS repository.

`buildconf` does not notice this but configure spits errors about CURL_* and finally fails.

As a workaround, copy the above files from the latest (7.19.4) tarball to m4/ in your working copy.

Message:
yeah, that's why you need the -d option for cvs update. I have the
following line in my ~/.cvsrc:

update -dP

To make sure I don't fall into this trap. Thanks for confirming, I'm
closing this entry now as it wasn't really a (lib)curl bug!

Right, I can see them from your link.

Point is, I had a working copy of 7.18.1-CVS, and after both `cvs up` and
`cvs up -C` the m4 folder remains unversioned, so the new files were not
fetched and buildconf didn't do the full job despite claiming "buildconf:
OK". Deleting the unversioned m4 folder didn't help either. Running `cvs up
-C -d -P` fixed it now.

Is this expected CVS behavior (as opposed to Subversion and Git), or
should I file a bug against CVS 1.12.13 on Haiku? I can't really guess that
I have to run such cryptic commands to get the latest files when I am
unaware of their addition.

I'll see if I can piece together a patch for buildconf to check for their
presence.

No, they are not missing!?

Browse the exact contents of the CVS repo here:
http://cool.haxx.se/cvs.cgi/curl/m4/

It would rather imply that your cvs checkout was incomplete ot something!
