I love it how you never explain what you actually do after repeated
questeions, but you drop one detail at a time and leave us guessing the rest.
So you build from a binary downloaded lib. Then I presume the clang linker
simply can't use that lib as-is. That library was built with lib/altsvc.c
present, for sure.
On windows, downloading and using binary libs to build something is a gamble
that in my experience very often does not work. But I'm also not a Windows
person so maybe my view of that world is not entirely correct.
