At least I know this: I don't plan to and nobody else has expressed any such
intentions to me, yet.
I don't know how much work it would be or how hard it is. Apple themselves
have switched to libressl on curl for macOS so maybe that's a hint of
something.
We would of course welcome a PR for this purpose, whoever submits it.
