I would LOVE to see something like (in PHP):

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FTPPORT, "-:60001-61000");

I have a process that initiates automated FTP sessions
from my system which is behind a firewall to customers'
systems that are often also behind firewalls - I would
love to open up a limited window of ports on my end so
that I can be the active side and not have to force my
customers to open up their systems.

I noticed this in the TO-DO... just putting in my vote
for it to be soon...
